Jacob Faires

Jacob Faires is a Principal Threat Researcher at BlackBerry, having held the position since June 2022. Prior to this, Jacob served as a Senior Threat Researcher at NTT Ltd. from October 2012 to June 2022, where responsibilities included tracking threat actors and contributing to incident response and threat detection efforts for clients. Earlier experience includes roles as a Reverse Engineer at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, various internships at General Dynamics AIS focusing on network analysis and security practices, and positions as a Computer Specialist at the Department of Veteran Affairs. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, completed in 2010.
