Paul Stangl

Paul Stangl has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Paul is currently working at blackshark.ai as the Head of GIS, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they were a GIS Team Lead at the same company from May 2021 to April 2022. Before joining blackshark.ai, Paul worked as a Geospatial Engineer at Bongfish GmbH from February 2019 to July 2020. In addition, they worked as a Freelancer (GIS and Sysadmin) at Gis und Karte Paul Stangl e.U. from December 2016 to February 2019. Paul began their career as a Projektmitarbeiter at Universität Graz in December 2014, where they were responsible for the technical implementation of the HGIS de las Indias project, involving the creation of a Historical Geographic Information System for Latin America in the 18th century.

Paul Stangl attended Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz from 2004 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geografie.
