Missy Layfield has a diverse work experience in different companies. Missy started their career at Ward Trucking in 1997, where they worked as a National Customer Service Representative and Administrative Assistant until 2006. In 2005, they joined Smith's Transport as a National Customer Service Representative/EDI Specialist for one year. Missy then joined Blair Companies in 2008 and held two roles: Project Coordinator until 2012, and later on, Service/Project Manager specializing in sign repairs and project management. Missy also assisted in designing signs to meet customers' needs.

Missy began their academic journey in 1986 at the Altoona School of Commerce, where they obtained an Associates Degree in Executive Secretary. This foundation served as a stepping stone for Missy's educational advancement. Expanding their knowledge and skills in the field, they then attended Penn State University from 2005 to 2011. At Penn State, Missy focused their studies on Business Management, ultimately earning an Associates Degree.
