Matthew Brafford

Matthew Brafford, MLS, is an accomplished landman with extensive experience in land management and mineral asset negotiations. Currently employed at Blake Production Co., Inc. since June 2022, Matthew has successfully negotiated PPLAs and mineral leases, maintained communication with mineral and surface owners, and ensured compliance with regulatory mandates throughout the well lifecycle. Previously at Stronghold Investment Management, Matthew managed over $1 billion in oil, gas, and renewable assets and supported acquisitions and divestitures for multiple portfolio companies. Matthew's earlier roles include lease analyst positions at Stephens Land Services, contractor landman at Whiting Petroleum, and various roles in sales and instruction. Matthew holds a Master’s of Legal Studies in Energy & Natural Resources Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma, complemented by additional education in Renewable Energy Leadership.
