Maria Espanol

Maria Espanol is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria since November 2023 and serves as a Hematologist at the Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute since July 2022. Previously, Maria Espanol completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans from July 2019 to July 2022, and held the titles of Chief Resident and Resident Physician at Nassau University Medical Center from June 2016 to June 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as a Physician at Centro de Diagnóstico Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina (Cedimat) from October 2014 to June 2016, as well as working as a Teacher Assistant in Biology and Environmental Science at Universidad Iberoamericana from September 2008 to September 2012. Maria Espanol holds a Master's Degree in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from EOI Business School (2014-2015) and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Universidad Iberoamericana (2007-2013).
