Benjamin Gaia Lmsw

Benjamin Gaia, LMSW, is an experienced social worker with a robust background in mental health services, having worked in various capacities since 2007. Currently serving at Bleuler Psychotherapy Center since December 2020, Benjamin provides individual and family psychotherapy and develops treatment plans for ongoing clients. Previous experience includes assessing mental health needs at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York as a Psychiatric Social Worker where multi-year plans were created for schools, crisis support was provided, and community referrals were facilitated. Earlier roles included Mental Health Specialist at Edwin Gould Services for Children & Families, where assessments and interventions were conducted for foster care youth, and as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist, delivering counseling and psychosocial evaluations. Education credentials include a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore and a BA in Psychology from Goucher College.
