Tom Zampieri has a wealth of experience in the veterans' healthcare field. Tom has held various roles at the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA), including Immediate Past National President, Project Gemini Coordinator with Blind Veterans UK, Operation Peer Support OIF OEF Program Coordinator, and Director of Government Relations. At BVA, they worked on initiatives such as establishing the Operation Peer Support program and advocating for vision rehabilitation services and benefits for disabled veterans. Tom also served as an Analyst for the DOD UK Joint Ocular Trauma Task Group (JOTTG), a Member of the Board of Trustees for Bravo Victor Charity, and a Board Member for the United States International Council on Disabilities. Additionally, they worked as a Clinical Physician Assistant in the Surgery Service at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VHA) and served as an Aeromedical Physician Assistant in the Army National Guard for 14 years. Tom Zampieri obtained a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of St. Thomas (TX) from 2001 to 2003. In addition, they received a certification as an Army Flight Surgeon Aeromedical Physician Assistant from the Fort Rucker Flight Surgeon Course in November 1988.
