Sedat Gormus

Sedat Gormus has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Sedat is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Blink Energy, Inc. since July 2021. Prior to this role, they held positions at Karadeniz Technical University, where they worked as an Associate Professor from February 2021 and as an Assistant Professor from December 2014. Sedat Gormus also worked as a Director at Mavi Alp Bilgi Teknolojileri from May 2015, where they focused on developing IoT solutions for industry, particularly in the area of Automated Metering Infrastructure.

Before that, Sedat Gormus was a Principal Research Engineer at Toshiba Research Europe Limited from March 2013 to November 2014 and held the position of Senior Research Engineer from March 2009 to March 2013.

Sedat also gained valuable experience as a Development Engineer & Project Manager at XadCo ltd. from February 2008 to March 2009, as well as a Senior Development Engineer at ProVision Communications from January 2001 to January 2003, where they worked on design processes of OFDM MIMO wireless modems using VHDL for PHY layer implementations.

Sedat Gormus served as a Consultant at the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2003 and began their career as a Software Engineer at Bizitek from August 1999 to December 2001, where they developed a CRM application using Microsoft .NET and MSSQL platforms.

Sedat Gormus completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Karadeniz Technical University between 1995 and 1999. Sedat then pursued further education, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol from 2003 to 2008.
