Chetan Patil

Chetan Patil has a strong background in computer vision and deep learning research. In 2019, they worked as a Computer Vision Developer at Artivatic.ai, where they specialized in image processing and OCR for documents. Chetan also modified the Tesseract source code for utilizing various geometrical elements. Later in 2019, Chetan joined EYE-D as a Software Development Engineer, focusing on AI and deep learning research. Chetan built a proof-of-concept vision-based guidance system for visually-impaired individuals and conducted research on optimizing DL models for edge and mobile devices. In 2020, Chetan joined Big Vision LLC as a Computer Vision Engineer, where they played a core role in the courses offered by OpenCV and created step-by-step content for transitioning between object classification and object detection. Chetan had a deep understanding of RCNN family, SSD, and YOLO models. Currently, Chetan is working at Blippar as a Computer Vision Engineer, specializing in 3D geometry, marker tracking, SLAM, and VIO. Chetan possesses extensive knowledge of multiple view geometry, linear algebra, calculus, and numerical optimization methods.

Chetan Patil completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Bangalore. Chetan attended this college from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, they completed their Pre-university education with a focus on PCMB at K L E Societys S Nijalingappa College. Chetan's early education includes attending Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir in Bangalore from 2008 to 2013 and St Mary's High School in Belgaum from 2002 to 2008.
