Vern Shrauger

Vern Shrauger has extensive experience in various technical and leadership roles. Vern is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Engineering & Operations at Block Engineering since February 2022. Prior to this, they were the Chief Technical Officer at iObelisk, LLC from February 2013 to February 2022. Vern also worked as the Special Projects Manager at Satcon Technology Corporation from October 2010 to February 2013. Before that, Vern held the position of Principal at TIAX from 2007 to October 2010. Vern has also served as the VP of Applications Engineering and Support at Interactive Supercomputing from 2005 to 2007, where they built and led a team responsible for customer support and successful adoption of parallel MATLAB supercomputing. Vern's earlier experience includes working as a Principal Optics Engineer at Axiowave Networks from 2000 to 2002.

Vern Shrauger completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology during the period from 1983 to 1988. Vern further pursued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 1988 to 1996.
