Jacek Serafinski

Jacek Serafinski is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Block since December 2021, Jacek oversees Scrum teams focused on financial settlements and reporting within Afterpay's Merchant Engineering division. Previous roles include Lead Software Engineer at Atlassian on a contract basis, Software Engineering Manager at SilverRail, Co-Founder and CTO of UpSide Technologies, and various engineering and management positions across multiple companies. Jacek co-founded two R&D startups, contributed to strategic planning at organizations, and held research scientist roles where software development and technology transfer were key aspects. Jacek holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Poznan University of Technology and a B.Sc. in Finance and Banking from Poznan University of Economics and Business.
