Omar Ramadan

Omar Ramadan is a technology entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in the fields of software development and telecommunications. As Co-Founder and CEO/CTO of Blockcast since October 2019, Omar leads efforts to innovate IP video broadcasting over satellite and cellular networks while emphasizing cost efficiency and service quality. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Software Engineer at Facebook, where Omar contributed to groundbreaking advancements in space and cellular communications, and held key roles in developing open-source cellular network solutions. Omar's foundational work began as a Founding Engineer at Endaga, Inc., focusing on creating independent cellular networks for rural areas. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering and an Honors Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, along with an International Baccalaureate from Bahrain Middle/High School.
