Matthew Digesti is the Vice President of Regulatory Strategy & Affairs at Blockchains. His portfolio includes blockchain regulatory strategy at the state and federal level along with leading strategic initiatives such as regulatory approval for blockchain-based fintech solutions. Matthew is a blockchain and fintech policy thought leader in Nevada having authored all five pieces of blockchain legislation in the state, including the first-of-its-kind regulatory sandbox focused on the intersection of financial services and blockchain technology.

Prior to joining Blockchains, Matthew was the Chief Legal Officer for a nationwide FinTech company that generated $100 million in revenue in its first four years. He has extensive experience in developing regulatory strategies driving cryptocurrency and fintech product offerings along with building legal and compliance departments from concept to fully operational departments.

He has been recognized in the top two percent of attorneys in Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine and Super Lawyers Magazine on multiple occasions, including the honor of being the only in-house attorney selected by Nevada Business Magazine in 2017. Matthew was named the young lawyer of the year by the Nevada Board of Governors in 2016 and recently received the Technology Advocate of the Year Award from NCET for his work in blockchain.

Matthew has written extensively on topics relating to law and technology for Forbes, Nevada Lawyer Magazine, Nevada Business Magazine, the Reno Gazette-Journal, the Northern Nevada Business View, and Payments Quarterly. Matthew also serves as a trustee on the board of trustees for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.

In his free time, Matthew is raising his children, enjoying a live music event with his wife, or learning everything he can about decentralized finance applications running on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
