Thomas Klocanas

Thomas Klocanas has a diverse work experience in the finance and technology industries. Thomas is currently serving as the General Partner & Head of Venture at BlockTower Capital since December 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Principal at White Star Capital from January 2020 to December 2021, and Vice President from May 2019 to December 2019. In 2019, they also worked as a Strategy Consultant at Blockstack PBC for a brief period in September, and at Coinhouse for strategy consulting from June to July. From 2017 to 2019, Thomas was involved with ConsenSys, serving as Head of Business Development for Meridio (now ConsenSys Codefi), Director of Strategic Initiatives, and MBA Associate for Strategic Initiatives. Their previous roles include Co-President at Columbia FinTech from April 2017 to May 2018, Equity Research Associate at Barclays Investment Bank from 2014 to 2016, Investment Banking Analyst at Crédit Agricole CIB in 2013, and Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from June to August 2013. Thomas has demonstrated their expertise in various areas, including business development, research, and strategy consulting throughout their career.

Thomas Klocanas has a diverse education history. In 2009, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Economics, Management, and Finance from Università Bocconi. This was followed by a Master in Management (MiM) degree in Management - Grande Ecole from HEC Paris, which they completed between 2012 and 2015. In 2017 and 2018, Thomas pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Columbia Business School. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including FCA Derivatives, FCA Regulations, FCA Securities from the Financial Conduct Authority in 2015, and the European Computer Driving License from the ECDL Foundation in 2010.
