Maya Peña-Meyer

Maya Peña-Meyer has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Maya started their career as a Special Educator at Teach For America in 2012 and worked in this role until 2014. Maya then joined CBRE as a Strategist from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, Maya joined WeWork where they held multiple roles including Manager, Strategic Planning and Deputy Chief of Staff. In 2018, they had a brief stint at Tesla as the Chief of Staff and Manager of Business Operations before moving to Hello Alfred as part of the Strategy & Operations team. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Vox Media, LLC. in the roles of Chief of Staff and Talent and Organizational Strategy. Maya currently holds the position of Chief of Staff at BLOK, starting in January 2023.

Maya Peña-Meyer began their education at Harvard University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in History. Maya then pursued further studies at Hunter College, Graduate School of Education from 2012 to 2014, completing a Master of Education - M.Ed. degree with a focus on Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs. Currently, Maya is enrolled at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they are expected to complete their Msc in Human Resources and Organisations with a specialization in Organisational Behaviour between 2021 and 2022.
