Lara Kohl

Lara Kohl is an experienced professional in design and research, currently serving as the Director of Design & Research at Bloom Works LLC since June 2022. Prior to this role, Lara held positions as a Digital Services Expert at the United States Digital Service, and as a UX Designer & Researcher and Engagement Manager at Skylight Digital LLC. Additionally, Lara has worked as a Product Designer & Researcher and as a Digital Services Expert and Design Lead for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the United States Digital Service. Early career achievements include experience as a User Experience Designer, an Instructional Designer and Social Media Specialist, as well as adjunct professorships at Pratt Institute and SUNY College at Old Westbury. Lara's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Performance Studies from New York University and a Master of Fine Arts in Film, Video, and New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, along with a BA in Art History/Visual Art from Barnard College.
