Katie Carmody has an extensive work experience, beginning with their role as a Richard U. Light Fellow at Yale University in 2010. Katie then interned at the U.S. Department of State in 2011 and the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. In 2012, they were a Woodbridge Fellow at Yale University, and from 2013 to 2021 they worked at Rocky Mountain Prep, where they held various roles, including Senior Director of Academics, Senior Manager of English Language Development, Director of Summer School, Lead Teacher, Grade Level Chair, MTSS Coordinator, and ELA Instructor. In 2021, they began working as an Education Content Specialist at BloomBoard, Inc.
Katie Carmody attended University of Illinois Laboratory High School, Urbana, IL from 2001 to 2006. Katie then attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2005 to 2006. Katie attended Yale University from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a BA in Ethics, Politics & Economics. Katie also attended the National Taiwan University International Chinese Language Program from 2009 to 2011 and the University of Cambridge Pembroke-King’s Summer Programme. Katie also attended the Rome Institute of Liberal Arts.
