Vincent Colavitti Jr.

Vincent Colavitti Jr. is a seasoned fire and public safety professional with over 28 years of experience in fire department operations, currently serving as Fire Marshal and Fire Protection Subcode Official at Bloomfield Fire Department since January 2019. In addition to a role as Fire Protection Sub-Code Official for the Bloomfield Fire/Bldg Dept, Vincent has held positions such as Fire Prevention Specialist and Fire Investigator at Verona Township Fire Prevention Bureau since September 2016. Vincent’s earlier career includes a 25-year tenure as Fire Chief for the City of Clifton, where responsibilities encompassed public safety planning and management. Additionally, Vincent has experience as a Fire Instructor at Passaic County N.J. Public Safety Academy and as a Special Police Officer. Vincent holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fire & Public Administration and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Leadership & Crisis and Emergency Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
