Anna Shirley

Anna Shirley has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Anna started their career as a Translation Intern and Translator at Lingo24 in 2013. Anna then worked as an Italian Teacher at The Learning Center of Tuscany LLC. In 2014, they joined Merkle as an Account Manager, later transitioning to roles such as Senior Account Manager, Team Leader, and Associate Head of Search, where they led teams and handled client relationships.

In 2018, Anna joined AlphaSights as a Professional Development Manager, progressing to the role of Professional Development Director, EMEA and Asia. Anna managed a team responsible for the talent lifecycle of over 800 employees across seven offices.

Currently, Anna is working at Bloomreach as the Senior Manager of Global People Development & Culture. In this role, they lead a global team focused on various areas including Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Career Development, Performance Management, Culture and Values, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Their goal is to make Bloomreach the most impactful professional experience for its 900+ employees.

Anna Shirley's education history includes a bachelor's degree in French and Italian from the University of Leeds, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. In 2011, they also studied foreign languages and literatures at Università degli Studi di Verona for a year. Additionally, they attended Université de Bourgogne in the same year, but the field of study is unknown.

In terms of certifications, Anna obtained a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification from TEFL International in November 2013. Anna also has additional certifications in Practical Facilitation Skills from Roffey Park Institute in February 2020, Belbin Accreditation from Belbin Team Roles (UK - Head Office) in August 2021, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: DEI Strategies for Business Impact from the University of Cambridge in November 2022. Furthermore, Anna completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program from Yoga London Ltd in July 2018.
