Alys Daroy is currently a Lecturer in English and Theatre at Murdoch University and has co-authored notable works including "Eating Itself: Sydney’s Past Present and Future Food Landscapes" with Associate Professor Joshua Zeunert and "Shakespeare, Ecology and Adaptation: A Practical Guide" with Professor Paul Prescott. Alys has served as a Research Assistant at the University of Adelaide, supporting projects in education and wellbeing, and held various teaching positions at Monash University. Alys holds dual Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Theatre and Performance from Monash University and English and Comparative Literary Studies from the University of Warwick, alongside a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the Australian Institute of Music and First Class Honours in English Literature from the University of Adelaide. Additional experience includes consultancy work in sustainability at Shakespeare's Globe and contributions as a columnist for Casting Networks Australia.
