Mark Chataway

Mark Chataway is a seasoned visual effects professional with extensive experience in the film industry. Currently serving as a Senior VFX Artist at Blowfish Studios since January 2023, Chataway previously held the position of Senior FX Technical Director at Industrial Light & Magic from July 2021 to February 2022, where contributions included developing FX sequences for a blockbuster feature film. Chataway has a rich history of freelance work from August 2017 to July 2021, focusing on remote visual effects projects while traveling, and notably worked with Industrial Light & Magic from 2009 to 2017 on major films such as "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," "Jurassic World," and "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Earlier roles include being a Lighting Technical Director at The Orphanage and a Technical Director on award-winning projects at Framestore CFC. Chataway is a co-founder of Rocket Squad Pty. Ltd, where leadership and VFX supervision were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include a certificate in Shake Compositing from the Australian Film, Television & Radio School and a certificate in Interactive Arts from Prides Centre for Excellence.
