Christoph Lucas

Christoph Lucas has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christoph is currently the Head of Machine Learning Services at BLP Digital AG. In their role, they are responsible for overseeing the development of machine learning services.

Prior to this, Christoph worked at Ergon Informatik AG from 2013 to 2023. Christoph started as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Lead Developer for the Detect-F payment fraud detection system. Christoph'sresponsibilities included leading a team of software engineers and data scientists, supporting customers in data engineering, using data science to improve the AI model, and implementing the model in a productive environment.

Before joining Ergon Informatik AG, Christoph worked at ETH Zürich from 2009 to 2012. Christoph served as the Head Teaching Assistant and was also involved in conference organization.

Earlier in their career, Christoph gained experience as an Intern at McKinsey & Company in 2008. Christoph also worked as an Assistant and Teaching Assistant at ETH Zürich in 2006. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at MB System Automation in 2004.

Christoph Lucas attended ETH Zürich from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained a Master's degree in Informatik. In 2007, they briefly attended the University of California, Berkeley, in the field of Informatik. Lucas then continued their education at ETH Zürich from 2008 to 2012, earning a Ph.D. (Doktor) in Informatik.

- In July 2021, they obtained the "Professional Data Engineer" certification from Google Cloud.
