Vijay Boova

Vijay Boova has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Vijay has held leadership positions in various manufacturing organizations, including Blue Bird Corporation, Goodman Manufacturing (a Daikin Company), and Whirlpool Corporation.

At Blue Bird Corporation, Vijay currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations, Lean Transformation & Quality. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Vice President of Lean Transformation & Quality.

At Goodman Manufacturing, Vijay worked as the Director of New Product Launches and Director of Operations. Vijay was responsible for overseeing new product launches and delivering safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets for multiple assembly lines.

During their tenure at Whirlpool Corporation, Vijay served in multiple roles, including Director of Whirlpool Production System, Director of Quality & Continuous Improvement, Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement Lead, and Strategic Planning Lead. Their responsibilities included implementing lean principles and methodologies, leading quality systems and continuous improvement activities, and providing technical support and coaching for manufacturing plants.

Before joining Whirlpool Corporation, Vijay worked at Trane as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, where they applied their engineering knowledge to enhance safety, quality, cost, and productivity in HVAC product manufacturing.

Vijay began their career at USA Mobility as a Process Engineer and also gained experience as an Industrial Engineer-Intern at UPS, where they led a project involving the relocation and reslotting of stock keeping units.

Overall, Vijay Boova brings a wealth of experience in operations, lean transformation, quality, new product launches, and continuous improvement to their current role at Blue Bird Corporation.

Vijay Boova obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathiar University from 1994 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Masters in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington from 1999 to 2001. In addition, Vijay Boova holds Six Sigma Black Belt certifications from both Whirlpool Corporation and Trane Inc.
