Genessa Bivins

Genessa Bivins, MBA, CMA, is a seasoned Senior Accountant with extensive experience in financial reporting and month-end close processes. Currently at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since April 2019, Genessa has held multiple accounting roles, demonstrating expertise in preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and managing accounts payable. Prior to this, Genessa worked at Hospice Partners of America LLC and TekLinks, where responsibilities included preparing financial packages, analyzing expenses, and supporting budget preparations. Genessa began the accounting career at The Onin Group and developed foundational skills as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Montevallo and a Telephone Banking Sales Representative at BBVA Compass. Genessa holds an MBA from the University of Montevallo and a B.S. in Accounting from Auburn University.
