Michelle Woodford Martin

Michelle Woodford Martin has a diverse work experience. Michelle started their career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later became an Instructor at the Isenberg School of Management. In 2009, they joined Abt Associates as an Analyst and eventually became a Senior Analyst. From 2015 to 2017, Michelle worked as a Research Manager at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). Michelle then joined Humana as a Senior Behavioral Economist from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Michelle serves as the Director of Analytics at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Michelle Woodford Martin completed their education in a sequential manner, pursuing higher education degrees to build upon their knowledge and skills. Michelle first attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics & Resource Economics. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Resource Economics.

Afterward, Michelle pursued their academic aspirations at the prestigious Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. During their time there from 2017 to 2021, they focused on their studies and successfully achieved a PhD in Population Health, specializing in the field of Social & Behavioral Sciences.
