Teryn Brewington

Teryn Brewington is an experienced professional in community relations and tribal governance. Currently serving as Manager of Community Relations for Tribal Communities and Tribal Liaison at Blue Cross NC since September 2019, Teryn has also held roles as Tribal Secretary and Tribal Council Member for the Sappony Tribe since September 2018. Earlier experience includes the position of Grant Administrator/Research Manager at the UNC American Indian Center from September 2015 to September 2019. Teryn holds a Master of Social Work from the UNC School of Social Work, completed in 2016, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Anthropology, and American Indian Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, obtained in 2013. Educational background also includes attendance at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 2007 to 2009.
