Guy McGinnis

Guy McGinnis has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Guy started their career as an Actuarial Assistant at Bankers Life and Casualty, where they priced individual major medical and life products. Guy then moved on to Trustmark Insurance, where they served as an Associate Actuary and Assistant Vice President, developing and pricing small group medical products.

After that, they worked at Washington National Insurance Company as an Assistant Vice President and Small Group Product Manager, designing and promoting small group portfolios. Following this, they held various positions at CNA Insurance, including Vice President of Small Employer Group and Vice President of Employee Benefits, where they built a nationwide offering of employee benefit plans and managed the profitability of the medical block of business.

In 2000, Guy joined Hewitt Associates as a Consulting Actuary, where they led discussions on strategies for Fortune 500 clients and managed a team of actuaries. Later, they worked as a Consulting Actuary at Clarity In Numbers, LLC, where they projected costs and provided healthcare consulting services to small to mid-sized clients.

Guy'smost recent position was at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where they held the role of Divisional Senior Vice President - IL Sales Lead, Group CFO, Competitive Analytics, Sales Incentives. In this role, they were responsible for client management, proposal management, competitive analytics, and sales incentives for the Illinois division. Guy also served as the CFO for the Group Insurance Division, setting growth and margin goals for five states and developing tools for actionable insights and optimization of sales opportunities.

Guy McGinnis received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Roosevelt University from 1979 to 1983. Prior to that, they attended Belding, and before that, they attended Carl Schurz High School.
