Brian Charlton

Brian Charlton has extensive legal experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as Director of Litigation and Senior Counsel at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona since December 2021. Previously, Brian held various positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas, culminating in the role of Vice President and General Counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico from August 2016 to August 2021. Brian's legal career includes roles as Associate General Counsel and Divisional Senior Vice President within the same organization. Earlier experience includes providing legal services at Narvaez Law Firm and Miller Stratvert, PA. Brian holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from New Mexico State University.
