Buster Christenson

Buster Christenson PMP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Buster started their career as a Database Manager in the USAF from 1987 to 1993. Buster then worked as a Manager of Information Systems at the Tucson Cooperative Warehouse from 1996 to 2001. Buster's role involved managing a team responsible for maintaining network and systems, developing application and technology strategies, and implementing technology upgrades.

From 2001 to 2004, Buster worked at Bombardier Aerospace as an Infrastructure Supervisor and later as a Project Manager. In these roles, they managed IT services and support, implemented ITIL processes, and oversaw infrastructure projects.

In 2005, Buster became the Director of Technology at DunnAir Business Jet Completion Center, where they managed the company's systems and network strategy, contributed to business planning and marketing strategy, and created the network/telecom infrastructure from scratch.

From 2006 to 2012, Buster worked at Apollo Group in various roles, including Senior Project Manager, Program Manager for Infrastructure, and Director of Analytical Platforms. Buster'sresponsibilities included managing infrastructure programs, overseeing data warehouse and business intelligence systems, and creating and executing data strategies.

Since 2013, Buster has been associated with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Buster started as an Enterprise Information Architect and is currently serving as the Director of Finance Data Strategy and Modernization. In these roles, they have spearheaded initiatives to advance business intelligence, developed big data strategies, and led finance systems support teams.

Additionally, Buster served as the President of the Higley Instrumental Association, a non-profit organization that supports the Higley High School instrumental music programs, from 2009 to 2011.

Buster Christenson PMP holds an Associates degree in Database Development from the University of Phoenix, which was obtained from 2010-2014. Buster also holds an AAS degree in MIS from the Community College of the Air Force, earned from 1987-1993. In addition to their degrees, Buster has obtained certifications in ITIL Foundation, Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Bombardier Aerospace, and project management professional from the Project Management Institute.
