Matthew Orel

Matthew Orel is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in Business Intelligence and data management. Currently serving as an IT Manager at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since January 2016, Matthew leads the Electronic Digital Data Interchange group and manages a significant migration project with a business value exceeding $25 million. Previously, Matthew worked as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC for a brief period in late 2015 and held roles at General Motors from 1994 to September 2015, where responsibilities included IT management and the development of BI solutions using various tools. Matthew's early career includes a position as an Application Engineer at IntelliCorp. Educational credentials consist of a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Yale University.
