Zatara Nepomuceno

Zatara Nepomuceno is a mechanical engineering student at The Johns Hopkins University, expected to graduate in 2025. Zatara serves as the Chief Engineer for Blue Jay Racing: Baja SAE, overseeing a team of 20 student engineers to design and manufacture components for an off-road competition vehicle. Zatara's technical experience includes roles as a Lead Drivetrain Engineer, where custom drivetrain components were developed, and internships at SpaceX and American Honda Motor Company, focusing on design engineering and launch engineering. Previous positions with NovaSource Power Services involved mechanical design and assembly of solar panel cleaning robots, as well as engineering technician roles that included equipment testing and support system construction. Zatara also led hardware fabrication for a robotics team that achieved success at a national level, showcasing strong project management and engineering skills.
