Anindita Das

Anindita Das is an accomplished scientist specializing in geomicrobiology and microbial carbon sequestration, with a comprehensive background in marine biology. Currently serving as an Affiliate Scientist at Blue Marble Space Institute of Science since April 2021 and an Assistant Teacher at RKVM Barackpore, Kolkata since January 2021, Anindita has previously held positions as a Fast Track Project Scientist at MACS ARI and a Research Associate at CSIR-NIO, where the focus was on carbon sequestration by microbes and energy transfer in ocean basins. Anindita's international experience includes serving as a Young International Scientist Fellow at the Institute of Oceanology in Qingdao, China, investigating microbial processes in marine sediments. Anindita's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Geomicrobiology from the National Institute of Oceanography and a Master's degree in Marine Biology from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
