Aubrey Zerkle

Aubrey Zerkle currently serves as Editor-In-Chief and Contributing Editor at Sciworthy since June 2022, focusing on deciphering science and demystifying the scientific method. Additionally, Zerkle is a Research Scientist at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science since August 2022. Previous experience includes positions as Reader (Associate Professor) and Lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Earth & Environmental Sciences at the University of St Andrews and Newcastle University, respectively, with responsibilities in research, project management, teaching, and curriculum development. Zerkle also held roles as an Associate Research Scientist and Research Laboratory Manager at the University of Maryland, along with a Postdoctoral Researcher position. Zerkle earned a PhD in Geosciences - Biogeochemistry from Penn State University and holds both an MS in Geomicrobiology and a BS in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
