Svetlana Shkolyar (Neveu) is an accomplished Research Scientist with extensive experience in astrobiology and planetary science, currently affiliated with CRESST II, the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Since September 2021, Svetlana has contributed to advancing biosignature detection and sample caching for missions to Mars and Europa. Previously, involvement in NASA's Perseverance rover mission allowed collaboration with spectroscopy teams to characterize Martian spectral data. Svetlana's academic background includes a PhD in Astrobiology from Arizona State University, supported by a master's in solar sunspot physics and another in Science Mass Communication. Additional contributions include developing educational materials for teachers and writing for various science publications.
