Alex Neves

Alex Neves is an experienced robotics professional currently serving as the Technical Lead for the UVD Robots at Blue Ocean Robotics since January 2020, focusing on the planning and design of the UVD Model C robot. In previous roles, Alex held the position of Senior Robotics Software Engineer for UVD Robots and has contributed to the development of autonomous robots utilizing UV light for disinfecting surfaces in hospitals. Additionally, Alex is a Board Member and Co-Chief Executive Officer at dotBot Robotics, advising on consultant contracts and R&D projects. Earlier experience includes research and development roles at GSCAR - COPPE | UFRJ, where multiple innovative projects were undertaken in oil spill detection and mobile robotics. Alex holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and an Engineer's degree in Control and Automation from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
