Melissa A. Beatty

Melissa A. Beatty has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles in human resources. Melissa is currently working at Blue Origin since 2020, where they have held several senior director positions, including Senior Director of Employee Experience and Senior Director of HR Operations. Prior to that, Melissa worked at Travelopia as a Human Resources Business Partner on a contract basis in 2019. In 2018, they served as the Senior Director of Shipboard Human Resources at Holland America Group. Melissa also has extensive experience working for the City of Seattle, where they held various positions within the Seattle Human Resources department, including Chief of Staff, Employee Relations Director, and Human Resources Manager. Melissa began their career as an HR Generalist/Assistant in the Legislative Department of the City of Seattle in 2005.

Melissa A. Beatty (she/her) holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. Melissa is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication and Leadership at Gonzaga University. In addition, Melissa has an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Psychology from Skagit Valley College.

Melissa has also obtained various certifications including the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Seattle Scrum Company in October 2019, the Certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner (ADKAR) from Prosci in April 2019, and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI.
