Ronald Hoek has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ronald is currently the CEO and co-founder of Blue Radix, a company that develops artificial intelligence for decision-making in greenhouses. Prior to this, they worked at AgroEnergy as the Director of Energy & Data Solutions, where they led the development of data-driven services for energy management in the greenhouse horticulture sector. Before that, Ronald served as the Manager of IT & Operations at Eneco Groep, where they led a team of 120 employees and focused on IT, data analytics, operations, and process management. Ronald also held the role of Manager of Product Development & Pricing (Business Management) at Eneco, where they successfully renewed and optimized the energy product portfolio for the company's B2B market. Earlier in their career, Ronald worked at Thieme GrafiMedia Groep as a Business Unit Coordinator and Account Manager in Direct Marketing. Additionally, they have experience in campaign management, having worked at Remu N.V., and has taken a year off for a world trip, visiting 10 countries in 12 months. Overall, Ronald has a strong background in energy management, data solutions, and business development.
Ronald Hoek's education history begins with their time at Revius College from 1989 to 1995, where they completed their Atheneum. Ronald then went on to attend Ichthus College Rotterdam from 1995 to 1999, earning their degree in Commercial Economy (HEAO - CE).
In 2003, Ronald attended Krauthammer + SRM Institute, where they studied Direct Marketing. In 2005, they pursued Project Management at the same institution, and in 2007, they focused on Management.
Ronald participated in the Eneco Corporate Potential Programma in 2007, where they further developed their skills in management, leadership, and personal development. The following year, in 2009, they joined the Eneco Management Programma to enhance their abilities in next-level management and leadership.
In 2010, Ronald briefly studied Energy Finance at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Ronald continued their education at Nyenrode Business University in 2016, where they immersed himself in the field of Digital Transformation. During the same year, they also explored Big Data and Data Science, further expanding their knowledge at the institution.
Their most recent educational endeavor took place at TIAS School for Business and Society, from 2017 to 2019. Here, Ronald pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) in Marketing, graduating with honors and receiving the Best Student Award. Additionally, they completed an Executive Master of Marketing program at TIAS, further solidifying their expertise in the field.
