Casey Matalone

Casey Matalone is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in mechatronics and mechanical design within the agricultural technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer at Blue River Technology since January 2023, Matalone previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at FarmWise, where responsibilities included transforming proof of concept into a production machine for commercialized weeding services. Matalone's career also includes significant contributions as an R&D Design Engineer and Engineering Project Manager at MacKinnon Industries, overseeing the development of an agricultural automation project, as well as roles in R&D and manufacturing internships that laid the foundation for a strong engineering background. Matalone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on BioResource and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
