Sarah Newman

Sarah Newman is a Principal Embedded Software Engineer at Blue River Technology since January 2021, previously serving as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. Before this role, Sarah worked at PRGMR.COM from November 2012 to October 2020 as a Technical Lead, with a focus on code review and usage of Ansible, Python, and Shell. Sarah's earlier experience includes positions as an Embedded Software Engineer at ShotSpotter and as a Circuit Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities encompassed programming in C and assembly, logic design with FPGAs, and overseeing vendor activities in R&D environments. Sarah began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, complemented by education at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts.
