Brian Conklin has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Brian is currently the Director of Customer Success at Blue Sentry Cloud, where they focus on ensuring the success of customer cloud initiatives. In this role, they gather project details and collaborates with teams to formulate a hybrid Roadmap/Product Backlog.
Prior to their current role, Brian worked at PeopleFluent as a Senior System Engineer and Senior System Architect. Brian was responsible for enterprise SaaS disaster recovery, designing and implementing DR for various applications and data centers. Brian also developed implementation plans, documented DR environments and procedures, and conducted yearly disaster recovery rehearsals. Brian also worked at Peopleclick-Authoria and Authoria, where they played a key role in migrating and supporting IT environments and SaaS applications.
Before joining Peopleclick-Authoria, Brian was the IT Manager at Advanced Information Management (AIM). In that role, they managed a team and oversaw IT, Security, and SaaS initiatives. Brian also designed and deployed inter-office WAN, oversaw LAN expansion, and managed IT infrastructure expansion into additional office space.
Early in their career, Brian worked at Santa Barbara Sailing Center as an IT Administrator, where they designed and maintained the company's website and supported a network of client desktops. Brian also held various roles as a Senior Captain and Sailing Instructor, demonstrating their leadership and safety skills.
Brian's first job was as a Manager at Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited, where they managed operations, staff scheduling, and facility maintenance.
Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated a strong focus on customer success, disaster recovery, IT infrastructure management, and leadership skills.
Brian Conklin's education history includes several certifications and training programs. In 1980 to 1984, they attended San Marcos High School and earned a High School degree with a focus on Honors and Advanced Placement. In 1987 to 1988, they studied Windows 2000 Administration and Support at the Computer Focus Learning Center. In 2004, they completed a course on Load Balancing Principles and Cisco CSS Configuration at Global Knowledge in New York. In 2011, they attended Global Knowledge in Austin, TX, for a program in VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage. In 2012, they attended the ONLC Learning Center for Information Technology Project Management in the field of study.
Additionally, Brian Conklin has obtained various certifications, including Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Six Sigma Global Institute in July 2022. In March 2018, they received the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon, obtained through a partnership with Alpine Testing Solutions. Brian also holds the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certifications, both obtained in July and August 2019, respectively, through the same partnership. Lastly, in June 1989, they obtained a 200 Ton Captain's License with Sailing and Towing Endorsements, issued by the US Coast Guard.
