Amy Hughes

Amy Hughes is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in internal communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Internal Communications Manager at Blue Shield of California since February 2020, Amy partners with leadership to develop strategies that enhance employee engagement and productivity, with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion communications from 2020 to 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Communications Manager at Kaiser Permanente from 2010 to 2018, where Amy implemented communication strategies for IT initiatives and created presentations for executive events. Earlier in their career, Amy held positions as Public Relations Manager and Executive Communications Manager at Cisco Systems from 1998 to 2010. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of San Francisco.
