Ji-Yeong Chong

Ji-yeong Chong, ASA, MAAA, currently serves as a Senior Manager, Actuary at both UPMC Health Plan and Blue Shield of California, roles commenced in March and April of 2024 respectively. Previously, Ji-yeong held the position of Actuarial Manager at UPMC Health Plan from May 2019 to March 2023, and Sr. Actuarial Consultant at Aetna from July 2015 to May 2019. Ji-yeong's earlier experience includes roles at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Kaiser Permanente, and Tokio Marine, with initial positions as a Teaching Assistant at UC Davis and a Mathematics Tutor at California State University, East Bay. Ji-yeong is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, recognized for academic achievement. Educationally, Ji-yeong holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, a BS in Computer Science & Mathematics from California State University - East Bay, and additional coursework at New York University.
