Emma Slater

Emma Slater is currently a School Social Work Intern at Cherry Creek School District, a position held since August 2023. With a diverse work history, Emma has also served as a server at Blue Sushi Sake Grill since July 2021 and held roles at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. from February 2022 to June 2023, including Parent Recovery Advocate and Youth Advocate. Previous experience includes working as a Health Coordinator for THE DENVER WALDORF SCHOOL ASSOCIATION and as a Crisis Hotline and Mobile Advocate at Willow Domestic Violence Center of Greater Rochester. Emma's educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies from SUNY Geneseo, and a year of study abroad in Psychology & Criminology at the University of Roehampton. Emma's early experiences include serving as a Teaching Assistant at SUNY Geneseo and as a Staff Writer for The Lamron. Additionally, Emma has worked as a Learning Facilitator in a Safe Zone Internship and as a Camp Counselor at Eisner Camp.
