Gerard Eldering

Gerard Eldering has a long and varied career in the technology sector. Gerard began their career in 1986 as a Helicopter Pilot for the USAF. In 1999, they became the Director of Technology Transfer at MITRE, where they completed more than 150 licenses and facilitated the creation of four startups. In 2007, they founded and became President of InnovateTech Ventures, a venture creation firm focused on the commercialization of university technologies through startup company formation. In 2015, they founded Blue Vigil, a company that manufactures, distributes, and supports tether power systems for drones. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Perfusion Medical, a company that is commercializing PEG-20k, a breakthrough approach for restoration of tissue perfusion developed by researchers at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

Gerard Eldering obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from the State University of New York College at Potsdam between 1983 and 1986.
