Donovan Abshire

Donovan Abshire has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and technical architecture. Donovan has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

Donovan started their career at Gateway Technologies in 1996 as a Software Engineer, where they led a team responsible for building a web-based application for configuring and provisioning Nortel switching equipment and data products. Donovan continued this role at Nortel Networks from 1999 to 2009, where they also served as a Technical Lead for a team of software engineers.

In 2009, Donovan joined Adobe as a Development Team Lead, working as a senior consultant and technical team lead. Donovan'sresponsibilities included client and server-side application development, focusing on A/B testing and optimization/customization setup using Adobe Target. Donovan also mentored junior developers on the team.

From 2013 to 2016, Donovan worked at Ensighten as a Team Lead/Software Engineer, assisting digital marketers in deploying and managing third-party client and server-side tags for data collection. Donovan also helped clients with technical strategy, architecture planning, and handled escalations.

Donovan joined Krux Digital in 2016 as a Senior Solutions Engineer, contributing to the implementation of data collection and integration for digital publishers and marketers.

In 2016, Donovan moved to Salesforce, where they initially served as a Senior Manager, Technical Architecture, leading a team of Solutions Engineers responsible for implementing data collection and integration with Salesforce Audience Studio (DMP). Later, they became a Lead Member of Technical Staff, working as a team lead and senior resource for the development and maintenance of Salesforce Audience Studio.

Most recently, in 2020, Donovan joined BlueConic as a Senior Solutions Architect. Donovan manages a team of Solutions Architects, overseeing the architecture and implementation of data collection and integration with BlueConic CDP for enterprise clients. Donovan also develops customizations for external connections and data processors.

Throughout their career, Donovan has gained experience with various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and shell scripting. Donovan also has expertise in working with Amazon AWS CLI and applications such as s3, EMR, EC2, Athena, and Data Pipeline.

Donovan Abshire graduated from Texas Tech University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. During their time at the university, they studied Management Information Systems, General.
