Zachary Hale

Zachary Hale has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and engineering. Zachary is currently working as a Principal Cyber Threat Hunter at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, where they have been since 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Sr. Cyber Threat Hunter at the same company from 2022 to 2023.

Before joining BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Zachary owned and operated their own company called Blue Ridge Cyber Guard in 2019.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Cyber Security Engineer at BWXT Nuclear Fuel Services, where they were responsible for implementing security products, developing an Incident Response program, and ensuring systems' compliance with industry standards.

During their tenure at TEKsystems from 2019 to 2020, Zachary held a Cyber Security Engineer role. Zachary also worked as a Technical Services Consultant at Carbon Black, Inc. from 2017 to 2019.

Zachary gained valuable experience as a Network Engineer at Y-12 National Security Complex from 2015 to 2017, and as a Network Analyst II at Mountain States Health Alliance from 2013 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, they served as a Configuration Management Engineer at L-3 STRATIS from 2010 to 2013, and held various roles in the United States Air Force from 2004 to 2010, including Operations Floor Crew Chief and STRATCOM Maintenance Technician.

Zachary Hale's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the Community College of the Air Force. Zachary pursued a degree in Electronics Technology, specifically focusing on Electronics Theory and Design. Zachary attended the college until 2007, completing their program.

In 2014, Zachary Hale furthered their education by attending Western Governors University. Zachary pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Network and System Administration/Administrator. Zachary completed their program in 2015.

Throughout their education, Zachary Hale also obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In November 2014, they obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA. In the same month, they also obtained the CIW Web Foundations Associate certification from CIWcertified.

In April 2011, Zachary Hale obtained the Configuring Windows 7 certification from Microsoft. Continuing their pursuit of certifications, they obtained the Network+ certification from CompTIA in May 2015.

Zachary Hale's dedication to professional development is evident through their more recent certifications. In January 2022, they obtained the Associate of (ISC)² certification from (ISC)². In May 2023, they achieved the GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD) certification from GIAC Certifications.
