Ryan W Kan

Ryan W Kan has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Ryan W started their career as a Real Estate Negotiator at Reapfield Properties (K.L) Sdn. Bhd. in 2003 and then moved on to Perdana Properties as a Senior Real Estate Negotiator from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they founded World of Batik Malaysia, an import/export company specializing in exotic Indonesian fabric. During this time, they developed a custom platform to handle correspondence between suppliers, customers, and the company.

Ryan then transitioned into the tech industry, working as a Technical Consultant at 100 Coffees Melbourne from 2011 to 2012, where they introduced an innovative way for coffee shop owners to empower customers and incentivize coffee lovers to try new cafes. Ryan W also worked as a Contract Developer at Bruni Dunn Advertising from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Ryan joined Uecomm as a Software Engineer until 2015 when they moved to Optus as a Senior Software Engineer until 2017. Currently, they are working as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Bluedot Innovation, starting in November 2017.

Ryan W Kan completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Monash University, studying from 2000 to 2003. Prior to their university education, they attended La Salle Boys Secondary School from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Ryan obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in September 2017.
