James Michels

James Michels is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the trading and technology sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director and Principal Technology Architect at Bluefin Trading LLC since November 2003, James has a strong background in software development and architectural design. Previously, James held the role of Managing Partner at Gateway Partners LLC from April 1995 to January 2002, where responsibilities included floor trading and leading software architecture efforts. James began a career in the industry as a Specialist Options Trader from 1991 to 1995 at TFM Investment Group, focusing on equity options. Academically, James attended Stanford University School of Engineering in 2020 and completed studies at Temple University from 1992 to 1998.
