Kandasamy Muniasamy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kandasamy has worked as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Information Security at BlueJeans by Verizon since May 2020, where they have been responsible for leading various security initiatives and collaborating with different teams on security strategies.

Prior to that, Kandasamy worked at i-Human Patients as the Director of Security and Operations, starting in August 2016. During their time at the company, they assumed various roles and expanded their responsibilities to include running DevOps and Security for application deployment on Amazon Web Services. Kandasamy also played a significant role in documenting security policies and procedures, leading certification and compliance efforts, and setting up business continuity and disaster recovery measures.

Before i-Human Patients, Kandasamy worked at Symantec as the Sr Director of Development and Director of Engineering. In these roles, they led diverse teams of engineers, mentored leaders, and oversaw the development of various security products and services.

Earlier in their career, Kandasamy held the position of Sr Manager/Director of Engineering at VeriSign, where they led the Enterprise PKI R&D team and managed the release of hosted solutions for certificate issuance.

Kandasamy began their career at Netscape/AOL, where they served in various engineering and management roles. Kandasamy'sresponsibilities included managing the design, development, and deployment of portal applications and infrastructure, as well as leading the development of AOL Quick Checkout, a secure electronic wallet system.

Kandasamy Muniasamy completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli from 1978 to 1983. Kandasamy then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1989 to 1990. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in CISSP from the ISC2 in January 2012, and in Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in October 2006.
