Shweta Chopra

Shweta came to BlueLabs after completing her Masters in Social Policy and Data Analytics at the University of Pennsylvania. She comes from a consulting and analytics background, having engaged in education and smart city-related consulting assignments with the Indian government, back in her home country. After coming to the US, Shweta’s experience as a Data Science for Social Good Fellow at the University of Washington solidified her commitment to a career that uses data to further the cause of social justice and progressive governance. This prompted her to start a Data for SocialGood chapter at Penn, as part of the Penn Data Science Group. She led a team of student volunteers as they held social good-focused Datathons and supported non-profits in the criminal justice and education space with analytics services.
